The library is open to students wishing to use the resources found in the library. It is not an area to do group study or to sit and visit. Students are encouraged to make use of the many materials found in the library.
Inappropriate behavior (talking, rudeness) in the library will result in loss of library privileges. 1st offense - 3 days out of library 2nd offense - 1 week out of library 3rd offense - 3 weeks out of library and the parents will be called in for a conference to discuss the student's library privileges. The student will not be allowed to use the library again until after the parent's conference. 4th offense - Library privileges are lost for the student during study hall but student may use the library before or after school.
Student Lounge/Commons Rules
The student lounge was created by the Student Council to give upper classmen an area to relax, read, and study during their free time. This was not intended as a place to sleep or engage in inappropriate behavior. The student lounge will be closed for the school year if the following rules are not adhered to. - Clean up your garbage! Don't leave trash for others to clean up! - If you move the furniture, make sure you put it back where it was! - Keep it quiet! This is an area to sit quietly and study! - Don't abuse the privilege of this student commons area or you will lose it!
Circulation Policy
~ Library items may be checked out for a period of three weeks. ~At the end of the three-week circulation period, items may be renewed. Any library materials that are on reserve for another patron may only be renewed once. ~ Library patrons may check out up to five items at a time. At the discretion of the library staff, this number may be increased based on individual need. ~ Library patrons wishing to use one of the library Kindles must sign and return a Kindle User Agreement.
